KOTA BHARU, Jun 3 : PAS central committee member Husam Musa (pic) has dismissed a suggestion by UMNO-owned Utusan Malaysia that he gave RM350,000 to a blogger.
“Am I that stupid to donate such big sum of money to people like him when I don’t even have that sort of much money in my whole life,” Husam told Harakahdaily.
Husam was responding to a report in the right wing daily quoting a blogger Syed Azidi as claiming he had received such an amount from him.
Several pro-UMNO bloggers, disappointed over Husam's decision to accept nominations to contest PAS's vice president's post, had earlier accused Husam of paying the blogger to help him campaign in the coming party election.
Husam also denied ever speaking to the blogger on the phone as alleged, but said the blogger had sent him mobile messages to inform him about his writings on the recent oil price hike.
Husam described the blogger as someone whose credibility had eroded due to frequent sensationalisation of issues.
