KUALA LUMPUR : Police will investigate allegations over a religious issue by two local bloggers published in a local newspaper on Saturday, May 7.
In this connection, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar, advised the public to exercise caution when raising such issues, adding that action would be taken against those who flouted the law.
He also advised the public against raising sensitive issues on religion which could jeopardise the harmonious living in the country.
He said this when approached by reporters for his comment on a front-page report by Utusan Malaysia about a purported meeting of pastors in Penang, allegedly to discuss making Christianity the official religion of the federation.
Khalid was met after launching an anti-crime billboard at Wangsa Maju here. - Bernama
