Attack of the Invisible Swords : Slashing down PAS through PKR, DAP

There's a saying on the eternal battle between God and the Devil and it goes thus: where there is God, the Devil will strike.

And which better place for the Devil to strike than in PAS, the Islamic religious political party not to mention the fact that deep blue is also the colour of the flag of the political party who uses the 'dacing' as its symbol although it has been accused of not doing any justice whatsoever to the symbol at all.

The latest to jump on the bandwagon to strike at PAS is Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin who was reported by Star as urging PAS Spiritual leader Tok Guru Nik Aziz Nik Mat to "tell the truth even if it is bitter" in regards to the sex video featuring a man resembling Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim.

Muhyiddin was responding to Tok Guru's statement that people who accused of Anwar of being the man in the video would never enter Heaven.

He further accused Tok Guru of issuing a new fatwa (religious edict) on this and also of using religion to escape from speaking the truth.

DPM, stop making a fool of yourself

According to PAS Titi Serong assemblyman Khalil Idham Lim, Muhyiddin is only making a fool of himself by urging Tok Guru Nik Aziz to tell the truth.

"Tok Guru was saying that those who slander others would never get into heaven and Tok Guru was referring to those who said that Anwar was the man in the video. This is slander and obviously Tok Guru's words have hit the nail on the head," said the Perak PAS information chief and Pakatan Rakyat secretary.

According to Khalid, Muhyiddin was trying to divert attention from the fact that it is UMNO's people who made the sex video in the first place to frame Anwar with the aim of destroying his political career and wrecking Pakatan's chances of capturing Putrajaya.

As for PAS MP for Kuala Selangor Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, it is the intention of UMNO strategists and spin-doctors to 'sapu' or swipe all the Malay votes belonging to PAS. To this end, UMNO have gone into overdrive and is working overtime to put their plans into fruition.

"UMNO wants to discredit PAS without actually directly attacking PAS or the Malays will go against them instead of us. They are doing this by putting PAS in a tight spot by portraying PAS as a party which has a friend that is 'morally questionable' (referring to Anwar) and friends who are against Islam (referring to DAP)," Dr Dzul told Malaysia Chronicle.

Buku Jingga

Therefore, it can be expected that UMNO will continue to attack both PKR and DAP. They will alternate the attacks between Anwar and DAP without ever striking at PAS directly. In war strategy books, this is a very shrewd strategy known as the attack of the Invisible Sword.

With UMNO perpetually on the warpath, the management of the nation's economy has also come to a grinding halt.

"The best thing to do is to strike back at UMNO using the Buku Jingga. We have to literally throw the book at them. That is why I have written about it in my blog. UMNO is very fearful of the Buku Jingga because they have been unable to come up with any solid ideas to debunk our proposals for economic reform as outlined in the Buku Jingga," noted Dr Dzul.

UMNO is now hell-bent on fermenting a religious divide between Islam and Christianity. If PAS speaks up for DAP or for the Christians, UMNO will capitalise on this and go to the kampungs or villages and tittle-tattle on them, telling the rural Malays that PAS is the defender of Christianity.

Dr Lolo Ghazali, PAS MP of Titiwangs told Malaysia Chronicle that PAS can see through UMNO's game and will not be caught in their maelstrom of malice.

"It is not easy for UMNO to make a fool of PAS," she said.

Dream on

This is also the year PAS celebrates its 60th Anniversary. According to the Chinese, 60 is a significant age as it signifies the completion of a full, complete cycle.

For PAS, it will be more significant than ever as the party finds itself having to chart its course through party polls due to be held early next month.

On top of that, the party finds itself having to face-off with the Devil in a direct as well as in an indirect onslaught.

A clear-cut case on the injustice in this country that PAS and its Pakatan partners have to fight is the example of the 8 pastors. These men have been called by the police to have their statements recorded concerning their meeting with DAP.

As the UMNO elite and Perkasa's Ibrahim Ali pat themselves on the back for scoring one-up for the Malays and Muslims - in their point of view that is - PAS says it is clear that the Christians have been bullied by UMNO throughout the whole incident.

Dr Dzulkefly likened the situation using the analogy of a guest coming to his house and wrecking havoc in his home but at the end of the day, he - the host - is the one who has to apologise to the guest.

In a situation of making the victims apologise to the perpetrators, Prime Minister Najib Razak has shown contempt, disrespect and disregard to the Christian leaders.

"It is UMNO's evil design to discredit PAS to force PAS out of Pakatan. Let me tell them this, they can continue dreaming and deluding themselves," said Dzulkefly.
